It is no secret that the main target for the Lakers this offseason is Kyrie Irving. LeBron James is reportedly pushing strongly for the trade to be made which would re-unite him with his former teammate with whom he won a championship in Cleveland.

However, such move is not easy to make due to the fact that Los Angeles wants to include Russell Westbrook, who is set to earn $47 million next season, in it. The Lakers have an alternative option in case they are unable to land Irving.

That is two Pacers players, namely Buddy Hield, who has been on the radar of the purple and gold for a while now, and Myles Turner. Although some people think that it is rather unlikely for the Lakers to made such trade.

“A second source I spoke to expressed pessimism that the Lakers would have the required assets to assemble a trade in which they acquire both Hield and Myles Turner from Indiana. Various reports have described the two Pacers as prime targets for L.A. if it is unable to assemble an Irving trade construction that Brooklyn is prepared to accept.”
