Meet the Artist: Whitney Jones

Whitney Jones is not just a performer — she’s a musical force of nature. With a voice that both soothes and stirs, Whitney masterfully blends Jazz, R&B/Soul, Funk, Blues, and even elements of Classical and Rock, creating rich soundscapes that resonate on a deeply emotional level. Her performances are equal parts passion, precision, and poetry.

A proud graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Whitney made history as the first female bandleader to maintain a weekly residency at the legendary Wally’s Jazz Cafe in Boston. Her career has since flourished, with highlights including collaborations with CeCe Peniston, Elan Trotman, Cal Harris Jr., J. White, and Rodney Poe of Blackstreet. She also opened for Carl Thomas and contributed vocals to TVOne’s Unsung episode on Adina Howard.

But Whitney’s purpose runs deeper than the spotlight. “I want to give back,” she says. “My purpose is to uplift, inspire, and empower people through music and entertainment — to kick fear out of their face and walk in love.” Her songs serve as anthems for the soul, offering hope, strength, and healing.
