WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) has publicly commended Senator Cory Booker for his unwavering dedication to economic justice, equity, and empowerment following his historic 25-hour and 5-minute speech on the Senate floor — the longest continuous speech in Senate history. The organization’s president and CEO, Ron Busby Sr., issued a statement on April 2, 2025, recognizing Booker’s commitment to creating policies that support small businesses, promote economic mobility, and provide access to critical resources for communities across the nation.
“Senator Booker exemplified the type of dedication needed to safeguard our constitutional rights and ensure an economy that is more responsible, equitable, and inclusive for all,” Busby said.
Booker’s impassioned address highlighted the importance of principled leadership and amplified the voices of everyday Americans, calling for transformative action that aligns with the USBC’s mission to empower Black-owned businesses. Busby noted that the senator’s advocacy resonates deeply with their goal of fostering opportunity, prosperity, and economic growth through visionary leadership and strategic support.
In continued pursuit of that mission, USBC is also preparing for the 2025 USBC National Conference, which will take place July 16–18 in Washington, D.C. Themed the “Year of the Member,” this year’s conference aims to celebrate the collective strength of the Black business community and provide vital resources for networking, advocacy, and professional development.
“This year, we celebrate the ‘Year of the Member,’ recognizing the collective strength and impact of our business community,” Busby wrote in the organization’s announcement. “We look forward to working alongside leaders across the political spectrum to advance a more just and prosperous future.”
The upcoming conference will offer business leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates opportunities to collaborate on strategies for economic equity and growth. Membership in the USBC also grants access to valuable tools that support the development of Black-owned enterprises nationwide.
