BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Great Hearts Academy in Buckeye was evacuated Wednesday following a reported bomb threat, according to Citizen.
Police responded to the campus and are conducting a sweep of the school as a precaution. Authorities have not reported any injuries in connection with the incident.
Students and staff were evacuated from the campus while law enforcement searched the property for any potential threat.
Parents and guardians have been advised to monitor school communications for additional information, including instructions regarding student reunification and when it is safe to return to campus.
The investigation remains ongoing. Officials have not released additional details about the nature of the threat or whether a suspicious device has been located.
