Three students were stabbed at Americas High School in El Paso, Texas, early Friday morning, according to El Paso County Sheriff’s officials.
According to the Socorro Independent School District (SISD), the incident occurred as students were arriving for class. The students involved have been identified, and their parents were notified directly.
The alleged aggressor was taken into custody by SISD police.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, including a FireSTAR helicopter, which helped transport the injured students to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. The students are reported to be in stable condition.
The school was initially placed on lockdown following the incident. The lockdown has since been lifted, although the campus remains on hold as authorities continue their investigation.
SISD officials said all other students and staff are safe and remain under the supervision of faculty and staff.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is expected as authorities continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
