Phoenix police say a 66-year-old driver may have experienced a medical emergency before his vehicle crossed into oncoming lanes and struck an unoccupied bus stop on West Peoria Avenue. The investigation remains open.

PHOENIX — A 66-year-old man died Monday, Nov. 2, after his vehicle struck an unoccupied bus stop near North 31st Avenue and West Peoria Avenue, according to Phoenix police.

Officers responded to the single-vehicle crash at about 8 a.m. Phoenix Fire Department personnel took the driver, identified as Vivek Arora, to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
