Jacquan,also known as “MR Honney.” born in Cameroon and raised in Paris, France. Growing up in a multicultural environment has shaped him both as a person and as an artist. What sets him apart is his riddim, melodies, and the fact that most of his songs are inspired by the women who have shared specific moments of his life.
In terms of his approach and style, he takes a unique approach by blending French and English influences. He strives to combine the melodic elements commonly found in French music with English lyrics, believing that this fusion will make a significant difference in his sound.
His journey into the music industry was somewhat unexpected. Initially focused on sports, particularly football, he stumbled into the role of an artist almost by accident. While aiming to manage his friend and brother Feroce, circumstances led him to explore his own talents as a singer. Despite a less-than-stellar first song, he found a passion for music that pushed him to keep going.
While his mother always had hopes for him to pursue a musical career, it was witnessing those around him engaging in music that truly inspired him to follow suit. Seeing others in his circle pursue their dreams ignited his own desire to do the same.
His singing journey began in London, where he received encouragement from friends to explore his vocal abilities.
He started taking vocal classes and worked on his first few music projects during this time.Belief in his dream and pursuing a career as a singer primarily stems from his self-confidence. He firmly believes that with focus, he can see any project through to completion.
Currently, he is more focused on releasing singles rather than working on an album. This allows him to captivate his fans’ attention and keep them entertained regularly. Producing an album requires a significant amount of time, which is why he is not yet in the mindset for that.
Lastly, he offers advice to the younger generation aspiring to follow a similar path. He encourages them to pursue their chosen paths with unwavering focus, providing themselves with the necessary resources to achieve their goals.
