Alivia Clark Breaks the Cycle With New Dance-Pop Single “Dancing In Circles”

The singer-songwriter explores irresistible chemistry and the struggle to leave a complicated relationship behind on her infectious new release.

Alivia Clark is turning emotional uncertainty into an irresistible dance-floor anthem with her latest single, “Dancing In Circles.”

Following the release of “Breathless” earlier this year, the singer-songwriter and actress returns with an energetic blend of dance-pop, EDM, and R&B influences. Driven by a pulsating rhythm and Clark’s polished, sultry vocals, “Dancing In Circles” captures the tension of knowing a relationship is unhealthy while still feeling powerless against its chemistry.

“‘Dancing In Circles’ explores the push and pull of attraction and is about being stuck in a cycle with someone that you know isn’t good for you, but the chemistry makes it impossible to let go,” Clark said.

“There’s something so addictive about that feeling,” she continued. “You know that you’re going around in circles, but part of you doesn’t want to stop.”

That emotional conflict sits at the center of the track. Its lyrics examine the uneasy space between temptation and self-awareness, while its upbeat production keeps the record moving with a sense of freedom and late-night energy. The result is a song that feels equally suited for the dance floor and for anyone who has struggled to walk away from an irresistible but complicated connection.

Clark wrote “Dancing In Circles” and reunited with producers David Mason, Lectriq—also known as Maxim Laskavy—and Grammy Award winner Harry Zelnick. Together, the team created a groove-led record that continues Clark’s evolving EDM-pop era while leaving room for her R&B and soul influences.

The release also highlights Clark’s versatility as both a recording artist and performer. According to her official biography, she spent seven years appearing as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall and has performed on Broadway and at Rockwood Music Hall. She also opened for Mariah Carey during the opening of the World Trade Center and performed at a New York City gala featuring Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg.

Clark has also built an extensive acting résumé. Her credits include leading roles in the feature films Buttons: A New Musical Film and 18 to Party, along with television appearances on Law & Order: Organized Crime, Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and The Late Show with David Letterman.

Her voice-acting work includes Skye in PAW Patrol interactive media and Coco in the U.S. version of Bing. That experience across music, television, film, and voice acting has helped Clark develop the storytelling instincts that now shape her growing catalog.

With “Dancing In Circles,” Clark delivers an infectious song about an all-too-familiar experience: recognizing a destructive pattern while still being drawn back into it.
