Soleil Turns Heartbreak Into Self-Reclamation in New “Heart Strings” Music Video

Singer-songwriter, DJ, and vocal producer Soleil has released the official music video for her new single, “Heart Strings,” a moody R&B and soul record centered on heartbreak, reflection, and personal renewal.

Blending elements of blues, funk, jazz and neo-soul, the single showcases Soleil’s vocal range while tracing the emotional aftermath of a relationship that did not unfold as hoped. Its lyrics move through lingering questions and nostalgia before arriving at a message of self-worth and personal growth.

“‘Heart Strings’ explores the phases of a less-than-ideal relationship, so the lyrics move from questioning the past to embracing personal growth,” Soleil said. “The song captures the bittersweet process of letting go while reclaiming the parts of yourself that someone else never gave you.”

A Visual Contrast Between Heartache and Hope

Directed by Riccardo Solorzano, the “Heart Strings” video alternates between black-and-white and color imagery. The visual approach mirrors the song’s emotional contrast, shifting between the heaviness of heartbreak and the optimism that comes with reclaiming one’s identity.

Soleil delivers the song as a commanding performance piece, while the sound of an applauding crowd adds the atmosphere of a live and interactive show.

Soleil Reunites With a Creative Team

Soleil co-wrote “Heart Strings” with CJ Hilton, who also produced the track. Richard Boisrond contributed guitar, Moises Lenare played drums, Josh Walton performed on bass, and Juan Santiago added keys. Engineer Paolo Angulo handled the song’s mixing and mastering.

The release follows Soleil’s jazzy and soulful rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” titled “(A) Jolene (Cover).” “Heart Strings” is expected to be followed by another original single, “Rubbish,” which will also receive an accompanying music video.
