The tuneful song also pays homage to Margo Messenger’s Eastern European roots, giving the record an emotive, personal touch. “‘Viva la Vida’ is a heartfelt tribute to where I grew up, the Baltic region of Kaliningrad, so it serves as both a reminder of my roots and an act of self-empowerment,” Margo Messenger explains.
“Viva La Vida” was produced by renowned drummer and producer Katie Cole. The forthcoming music video is the brainchild of Margo Messenger and Annaliisa Asveit. The visual, filmed and edited by award-winning director Ben Winston, explores themes of transformation, friendship, and reclaiming one’s inner light.
