Klay Thompson was fired away by the officials during the third period of the Golden State Warriors-Phoenix Suns marquee Tuesday showdown.
Thompson swatted away Devin Booker’s shot with seven minutes left on the quarter. The two proceeded to have a feisty verbal exchange and were handed by the referees a technical foul.
The All-star veteran didn’t stop jawing against Booker, which triggered a second technical call that automatically pushed him out of the game. Heading to the exits, Thompson was seen taunting the Suns bench.
This ejection serves as the first one in his career for Thompson.
He has been having another ice-cold night for the Warriors, tallying two points on a lowly one-for-eight shooting to go with two steals in 19 minutes prior to his exit.
