Arizona Black Coalition Celebrates Black History Month

As February unfolds, so does the vibrant celebration of Black History Month across the nation. The Arizona Black Coalition is proud to contribute to this commemoration with two special events scheduled for February 17th and 18th, offering enriching experiences that honor the resilience, achievements, and contributions of the Black community.

Event 1: Community Movie Night – February 17th

Location: AK-Chin Entertainment Center – Maricopa AZ, 16000 N Maricopa Rd

The first event, a Community Movie Night, promises an evening of family time with an iconic 70s movie followed by a concert with the World’s number One Luther Vandross Tribute featuring: JAS. Along with Gospel and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and Lead Singer of the World Famous Soul Stirrers Willie Rogers.

Event 2: Cultural Showcase – February 18th

The second event, a Cultural Showcase, invites attendees to immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of Black culture through captivating performances with soul-stirring music and experience the artistic expressions that have shaped and defined the Black community. Celebrate the vibrancy and creativity inherent in Black culture while honoring its profound influence on art, music, and literature worldwide.
