ATHENS, Ga. — Rock band Goose is bringing its music to fans’ morning routines through a new collaboration with Jittery Joe’s Coffee.
The Athens-based roaster announced What A Day To Be Livin’, a limited-edition medium-roast coffee made with beans from Guatemala and Brazil. According to the announcement, the release launches October 15 online and at all Jittery Joe’s cafés.
Inspired by Goose’s song “The Empress of Organos,” the collaboration pairs a music reference with illustrated packaging designed for the release.
A Goose-Inspired Roast and Collectible Can
Jittery Joe’s describes the coffee as offering praline notes and citrus-orange sweetness, followed by a lingering sweetness as it cools.
For the can, Goose enlisted GUMBO Design Co. to create artwork featuring an empress holding a hot cup of coffee. Steam rises around her and spells out G-O-O-S-E, connecting the illustration to the band.
The design builds on Jittery Joe’s tradition of using distinctive cans for its coffee collaborations, giving fans a visual keepsake alongside the roast.
The announcement connects the release to “The Empress of Organos,” which it identifies as a track from Goose’s 2025 album Chain Yer Dragon. The collaboration also arrives following the band’s recently released sixth studio album, BIG MODERN!, according to the supplied materials.
Building on Athens’ Music Connections
Goose joins a roster of artists who have partnered with Jittery Joe’s through its Music Coffee Series, including Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell, Kishi Bashi and Monsoon.
The series reflects the company’s longstanding connection to Athens’ music and arts community. Jittery Joe’s opened its first coffeehouse beside the city’s 40 Watt Club in 1994.
Goose has its own connection to the city: the announcement notes that the band made its Athens debut at the Georgia Theatre in 2023.
Beyond artist partnerships, Jittery Joe’s has collaborated with cultural institutions. Its Fox Theatre Blue Sky Blend, created with Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, directs proceeds to the venue’s philanthropic arm, Fox Gives, according to the release.
More Than Three Decades of Roasting
Since opening in Athens, Jittery Joe’s has expanded into a retail and wholesale coffee business with cafés across Georgia and customers nationwide.
The company says it roasts coffee to order at its Athens facility and sources beans from producers around the world. Its broader offerings include an online store, subscriptions, and distribution through retail and wholesale partners.
The Goose collaboration adds another music-inspired release to that business, linking the band’s imagery with a roaster shaped by the creative culture of its hometown.
What A Day To Be Livin’ is being released in limited quantities. The announcement does not specify a price, package size, or restock schedule.
