Seth Tabatznik Finds Healing and Home on New Single “Flow River Flow”
London-born folk artist Seth Tabatznik continues his deeply personal musical journey with “Flow River Flow,” released August 7, 2026, through MOTH Music (Mother of the Heart).
Serving as the first single from Tabatznik’s forthcoming third album, “Flow River Flow” blends softly strummed acoustic guitars, tender vocals, atmospheric pads, and laid-back percussion. The intimate arrangement gradually expands into a lush, immersive chorus while preserving the song’s reflective character.
Inspired by Tabatznik’s life in the Western Cape mountains of South Africa, the single explores the connection between personal transformation, the natural world and the meaning of home.
“This song took me about as long to write and record as my whole previous album,” Tabatznik explained. “Flow River Flow is a deeply personal journey about my life and my home mountain.”
The musician said illness forced him to reconsider what he believed he knew about himself and his purpose.
“Sickness diverted me towards a new path,” he said. “Not unaligned with my previous one, but with more humility, empathy and a slowing down. I feel much more guided, more rooted in myself and where I’m meant to be—less pressure to achieve and more curiosity to experience and express myself through music.”
Tabatznik initially intended the song to focus exclusively on the mountain where he lives and the connection that drew him to the surrounding land. As the composition developed, however, he began to see the mountain as a reflection of his own life.
“When I first wrote the song, it was intended to be about the mountain I live on and how it called me to the land,” he shared. “As it evolved, I realized the mountain was me and so included myself in the story. Now it’s about both of us.”
A Rising Voice in Indie Folk
Raised in London and now based in South Africa, Tabatznik creates acoustic folk and medicine music shaped by his reverence for the earth, spiritual exploration, and lived experiences. His music combines soulful harmonies and heartfelt songwriting with influences drawn from ancient wisdom and contemporary folk traditions.
Having only begun releasing music in 2024, Tabatznik has already accumulated more than 400,000 streams across digital platforms. His growing live presence includes a sold-out debut performance at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town and another sold-out appearance at Green Note in London’s Camden district.
His sophomore album, “Awakening Embers,” was released earlier in 2026 and received attention from NOTION Magazine. Singles including “Shining For Love” and “Choose To Be Alive” also earned support from CLASH Magazine and EARMILK.
“Flow River Flow” follows acclaimed electronic producer Deep Forest’s remix of “Shining For Love,” released July 17, 2026.
Tabatznik was mentored by singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey, who played a formative role in shaping “Awakening Embers.” He also credits guitar teacher Rainer Scheurenbrand as an important influence on his musical development.
With its delicate instrumentation, vulnerable storytelling, and expansive sense of place, “Flow River Flow” should resonate with listeners drawn to artists such as Passenger and Gregory Alan Isakov.
