“The lead track ‘Seraph’ captivates with its blend of rock riffs and ethereal sounds, embodying the album’s transcendental themes of wonder.”

KALTBLUT Magazine

“Since making their debut in 2019, the Sydney trio have established themselves between indie and electronic sonic-spheres, operating in broad, cinematic productions. ‘Minacious’ is no different, a rich, textured listen that tugs on nostalgia, melancholy and euphoria all at once.”

CLASH Magazine

“Rooted in frontman Jordan’s potent vocals which floats upon shimmering, acoustic guitars, the dreamy track captures an escapist feel, that leads us away from a sense of isolation.”

EARMILK

On ‘Gold’:  “It’s shrouded in mystery and mood and even gives off a bit of an outlaw vibe, nice one!”

Declan Byrne (triple j)

Indie trio Valley Onda unveiled their debut album Middle Way with focus song, ‘Seraph’ on October 31st, 2025 via Valley Onda Records. ‘Seraph’ premiered on revered tastemaker KALTBLUT Magazine. Additionally, the already-released singles off the album, ‘Minacious’ and ‘Reebok Fantasy’, landed premieres on global tastemakers CLASH Magazine and EARMILK respectively, with the latter receiving radio support from NPR Music – a promising taste of what is to come for the rest of the LP. Since their 2019 debut, the trio has accumulated over 350,000 streams, with their introspective sound earning praise from tastemaker publications and the acclaimed triple j, as well as national tour slots alongside The Money War and Brightness. The band is composed of Jordan Wilson (vocals, guitar), Michiya Nagai (keys), and Galen Sultmann (drums).

As individuals, members of Valley Onda bring heavyweight credits – Jordan Wilson (former member of Georgia Fair) has opened for Paul Kelly, Laurel, and John Mayer, while keys Michiya Nagai has performed with electronic outfit Lamalo to audiences of 15,000+ at The Grass is Greener and soundtracked a TEDx Melbourne virtual event. They have also received a string of features across The AU Review, Happy Mag, Where The Music Meets and Clunk Mag, among others.

The Sydney/Gadigal-based outfit was born from quiet post-tour limbo and forged in a Sydney restaurant, when front man Jordan met producer Galen Sultmann. Sessions between the two sparked into something more when Galen brought in long-time friend Michiya Nagai, a classically-trained pianist and versatile producer. Together, their sound has evolved into a rich palette of alternative textures, drawing influence from the likes of Radiohead, Alt-J, Mansionair, Bon Iver, Muse, and Gorillaz. Across years of careful crafting, immersive warehouse performances, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, Valley Onda’s music has taken on a versatile sound that spans from Alternative Rock to Indie Electronica.

Middle Way is a project full of feeling and movement, deftly melding organic textures, rock instrumentals and electronic elements into a dreamlike sonic journey. The focus track ‘Seraph’ – sure to ensnare fans of the dreamy indietronica of Feathered Sun and The Acid, with soulful vocals reminiscent of  Ian  Brown – trades rock riffs for drum machines, airy atmospherics and hypnotic chants, gently intensifying into a vast, celestial piece of reverb-laden electronica, epitomizing the album’s sense of wonder and transcendence beyond the ordinary.

Speaking on the album, the band shared: “‘Middle Way’ is the boisterous combination of three unique creative minds. We knew we wanted to harmonize organic instruments with technology and the electric world; a feat as grand as Robert M. Pirsig’s classic novel ‘Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance’. Fishin’ screams out like one big om from the universe, whilst tracks like ‘Seraph’ moves with cyclical rhythm and warm synths. There’s certainly an intensity to the album, but one we hope we match with joyous celebration.”
