
The future of Russell Westbrook with the Lakers was always in doubt. While a potential swap with John Wall was thought as the most likely scenario before this offseason began, now it expected that the former NBA MVP will be traded for Kyrie Irving in a potentially multi-team deal.
There is not a day when more speculations about the Westbrook/Irving trade are not published. Naturally, the 33-year-old point guard is aware of the trade rumors.
According to Marc Stein, Russ is prepared to do what it takes to play better, but if he is not moved by the Lakers before the training camp, it would create awkwardness behind the scenes.
