Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins does not think that his former teammate Kevin Durant really wants to be traded by the Nets.
According to him, the two-time NBA champion is using his trade request as a scare tactic as a leverage to help Kyrie Irving have leverage.
“I don’t believe Kevin Durant,” Perk said on ESPN. “I don’t believe it at all. Matter of fact, it makes zero sense to me that he wants to be traded at this point. I don’t believe he believes it.
“I think Kevin Durant is doing this as a scare tactic to help Kyrie Irving have leverage to get him signed long-term with the Brooklyn Nets.”
