U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. Celebrates Karla Causey on Receiving SBA New Mexico District Legacy Award

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] June 1, 2026 — The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. proudly congratulates Karla Causey, President of the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico, on being honored with the prestigious SBA New Mexico District Legacy Award during the 2026 Small Business Awards ceremony hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration New Mexico District Office on May 8, 2026.

The Legacy Award represents the SBA’s highest district honor and recognizes individuals whose long-standing leadership and dedication have created a lasting impact on the small business ecosystem. Karla Causey was honored “in recognition of your contribution to small businesses,” a testament to her unwavering commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and economic opportunity throughout New Mexico.

Under Karla’s leadership, the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico has become a driving force for advocacy, empowerment, and growth for Black-owned and underserved businesses across the state. Through strategic programming, access to capital initiatives, business education, and community partnerships, her work has helped countless entrepreneurs overcome barriers and build sustainable businesses.

” The 2026 SBA New Mexico Small Business Awards ceremony brought together entrepreneurs, chamber leaders, elected officials, SBA representatives, and community advocates to celebrate the resilience, innovation, and accomplishments of small businesses across the state. The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. joins the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico in congratulating all award recipients and especially applauds President Karla Causey for receiving this distinguished recognition.
