When a male model was unable to attend, Serge was asked to fill in. Little did he know that this serendipitous moment would prove to be a turning point in his life. The commercial’s release left audiences in awe of his performance, and the encouragement of his friends convinced him to consider acting seriously as a career.
Hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Serge Kasanda embarked on a journey to the United States in 2014 to further his education. A man of many talents and passions, he possesses a deep-rooted love for science, art, business, and spirituality. His background in engineering and computer science adds to his diverse skill set. Beyond acting, Serge is also an accomplished writer, director, public speaker, and the co-founder of Botala Pictures Entertainment, a prominent production company based in Champaign-Illinois, USA. The company specializes in creating compelling movies, documentaries, music videos, and TV shows.
Throughout his career, Serge has portrayed lead roles in several notable movies, including “Find Out,” “Unexpected Guest,” “Undrafted,” and “In The Rain.” His impressive portfolio also includes co-directing music videos for influential Congolese artists such as Werrason, Mirage Super Sonic, Nasty Dog, Guellord Malanda, and Mike Kalambayi, among others.

In his latest project, “In The Rain,” Serge portrays Chris, an ex-marine who falls in love with a young girl named Anne. However, their love story takes an unexpected turn when Anne faces betrayal from someone she trusted. The movie, filled with suspense and gripping moments, is available on Amazon Prime Video.
