“This song came to me in a forest, spoken by the elements around me,” Seth explains. “It was like nature took my pen and transcribed the lyrics into my notebook. Every action in nature comes from a place of love — she expresses herself in sound and motion, and we’re part of that, not apart from it.”

An Artist Rooted in Purpose

Raised in London and now based in South Africa’s Western Cape mountains, Tabatznik’s work carries the depth of his surroundings. His acoustic folk sound blends the grounded textures of traditional songwriting with the ethereal tone of what he calls “medicine music.” It’s no surprise that his music feels equally at home in candlelit venues and under open skies.

Mentored by acclaimed folk artist Nick Mulvey, with inspiration drawn from his guitar teacher Rainer Scheurenbrand, Seth has found a way to channel spiritual reflection into contemporary songwriting. From Local Stages to Global Attention

Though only releasing music since 2024, Tabatznik has already achieved over 100,000 streams across platforms and earned praise from tastemakers including EARMILK and CLASH Magazine, who described his earlier single “Choose To Be Alive” as “a homely offering… purpose-built for the live stage.”

Live, his performances are intimate and communal. His debut at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town and a follow-up show at London’s Green Note both sold out, signaling a growing audience for his grounded, heartfelt style.
