ByBlack.us and BuyBlack.org make a big move to help support Black-Owned Businesses

On February 25th, 2025 BuyBlack.org and ByBlack.us (powered by the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.) proudly announced the formalization of a new partnership.

David Derryck, BuyBlack.org’s CEO shared his vision for the partnerships purpose, “Our collaboration with ByBlack is about building an ecosystem where Black-owned businesses can thrive, he continued, “Together, we will expand opportunities, resources, and support for entrepreneurs committed to driving change.”

This new agreement is seen as a, “strategic partnership,” that “unites the strengths of BuyBlack.org ByBlack Platform.”

ByBlack is actually the nation’s very first business Certification program for ‘Black-owned’ businesses. The platform’s purpose is, “to enhance access to critical resources, tools, certifications, and entrepreneurial programming.”

These two organizations look to use their networks and expertise to bring better support for Black-owned businesses by bringing in more awareness to the ByBlack Certification and helping, “mission-aligned,” partners connect with entrepreneurs.

The partnership is also aiming to create opportunities not only with in-person activation but with digital activations as well, this will include things such as events, marketing initiatives and targeted campaigns.

Alicea Gay, the Vice President of External Affairs and Certification at the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc had this to say about the new partnership, “This partnership with BuyBlack.org reflects our shared dedication to creating lasting economic impact within Black Communities,” she continued by saying, “By working together, we can amplify the visibility, reach, and success of Black-owned businesses nationwide.”

With this new found partnership, we could see a rise in growth for ‘Black-owned,’ businesses that previously never had a chance before.
