Streaming Alert: These Popular Movies and Shows Are Leaving Netflix and Peacock in September

Streaming subscribers have only a limited time to watch several popular movies and television series before they leave Netflix and Peacock in September 2026.

According to data provided by JustWatch, the upcoming departures include an Oscar-winning performance from Emma Stone, a long-running crime drama, and two beloved comedies. Licensing agreements can change, and departing titles may eventually return or move to another service.

“Bones” Leaves Peacock on September 1

All 12 seasons of Bones are scheduled to leave Peacock on September 1.

The crime procedural follows forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth as they investigate cases involving human remains. The series stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz and originally aired for 12 seasons between 2005 and 2017.

With more than 240 episodes, viewers hoping to complete the entire series may need to prioritize their favorite seasons or episodes before it disappears from Peacock.

“That ’70s Show” Leaves Peacock on September 1

All eight seasons of That ’70s Show will also leave Peacock on September 1.

Set in the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin, the comedy follows a group of teenagers navigating relationships, family conflicts, and life during the late 1970s. The series originally aired from 1998 through 2006 and remains a favorite among viewers who grew up watching Eric, Donna, Hyde, Fez, Jackie, and Kelso.

Fans have only a short window remaining to revisit the show on Peacock.

“Poor Things” Leaves Netflix on September 6

The film also stars Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe and Ramy Youssef. Netflix’s official September departure announcement includes Poor Things among its outgoing Oscar-winning titles. Netflix

“Four Weddings and a Funeral” Leaves Netflix on September 14

The 1994 romantic comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral will leave Netflix on September 14.

Starring Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell, the film follows a group of friends whose lives intersect through several weddings—and one funeral. The movie became an international success and helped establish Grant as one of the most recognizable stars of the romantic-comedy genre.

Subscribers who have been waiting to revisit the British classic should add it to their September watchlist.

Plan Your September Watchlist

Streaming libraries change regularly as distribution and licensing agreements expire. A departure does not necessarily mean a title will remain unavailable permanently; it could return later or move to another platform.
