The Crow reboot is a supernatural revenge film, based on James O’Barr’s 1989 dark fantasy comic book series of the same name. The long-in-development remake will be directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) from a screenplay written by Oscar nominee Zach Baylin (King Richard). Skarsgard will be playing Eric Draven, while Twiggs will be the character’s love interest, who is now expected to have a bigger role in the new adaptation.

It tells the story of a man who is brought back to life by crows to avenge his murder and the death of his fiancée. The series was famously adapted into a film in 1994 starring Brandon Lee, which became notorious following his tragic death on the set of the film.

The reimagined reboot is produced by Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, and Edward R. Pressman, with Dan Farah executive producing. Production is expected to begin in June and will take place in Prague and Munich.

Since the 1994 film, various reboot attempts have been made, including one that saw Jason Momoa set to star in a remake with Corin Hardy tapped to direct the film. However, after a few preproduction setbacks, Hardy and Momoa eventually left the project in 2018 over differences behind the project. Before that, Luke Evans and Jack Huston were also previously attached for the role at some point in 2014.
