Production has begun on “The Acolyte,” an upcoming Original Star Wars series from Lucasfilm coming to

Squid Game star and Emmy nominee Lee Jung-Jae  Lee is set to be a Sith in an adventure set in a far-off Galaxy. Taking us back to the world of cyborgs and droids. The actor will be leading the upcoming Star Wars series joining the previously announced Amandla Stenberg are  Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Lee Jung-Jae is a South Korean actor and filmmaker. Considered one of the most successful actors in South Korea, he has received various accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, six Baeksang Arts Awards, in addition to nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Gotham Award.

The Acolyte, also marketed as Star Wars: The Acolyte is an upcoming American television series created by Leslye Headland for the streaming service Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set at the end of the High Republic era before the events of the main Star Wars films.

Star Wars has been building out its timeline over the past years with shows like the Mandalorian, Boba Fett, and Andor. The critics have been up and down with their productions, lets hope “The Acolyte” will meet expectations.
