New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is getting closer to his much-awaited return, as he is slowly but surely engaging in team activities.

As detailed by NBA reporter Andrew Lopez, Williamson has been cleared to participate in contact drills, beginning with 1-on-1 scrimmages. He’ll be re-evaluated on Nov. 24 whether he can fully participate now in team practices.

Williamson, who suffered from a right foot fracture last offseason, hasn’t played yet for New Orleans’ current season so far as he continues his rehabilitation.

The one-time All-star is yet to join the NOLA, who currently has a downing record with 2-13 after a recent road trip loss against the Washington Wizards on Monday.
