Should the Los Angeles Lakers wind up on a three-team deal with the Utah Jazz and the New York Knicks, there is a possibility that they will go all in for Cam Reddish.

As reported by Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Lakers are open to discuss a trade and have maintained their eyes to acquire Reddish.

This rumored interest of the Lakers comes into the ongoing rumblings of the potential Jazz-Knicks Donovan Mitchell trade, wherein their inclusion could pave way for the former Duke wing man to arrive in California

Jazz president Danny Ainge stands firm in his desire to obtain unprotected draft picks, and a three-way transaction from the inclusion of the Lakers only allows him to capitalize the looming future of the franchise to be surrounded by future main blocks.

Other than the Knicks’ four unprotected first-round selections, Ainge covet the 2027 and 2029 picks of the Lakers as noted by Berman. To make things done eventually, L.A. has to let go of their assets to gain other serviceable players other than Reddish.

Reddish, 22, was drafted for the 10th pick of the 2019 Draft. Following two and a half seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, he ultimately decided to be traded – was shipped to the Knicks in 2021-22 midseason.

Upon his arrival in New York, Reddish wasn’t able to sniff plenty of on-court minutes from head coach Tom Thibodeau, playing in just 14.3 minutes average while having 6.1 points and 1.4 boards in 15 total games.

The departure of Stanley Johnson and Talen Horton-Tucker suggests the intent of the Lakeshow for Reddish. For now, only time can tell if these three teams will eventually pull a much-anticipated settlement.
