Harrison Ford & Helen Mirren-Led Yellowstone Prequel Unveils New Title

Following the confirmation of Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren’s casting, Paramount+ has now announced that Taylor Sheridan’s next Yellowstone prequel has officially changed its title. Formerly called 1932, the drama will now officially be titled as 1923 which is expected to be set at the end of World War I and the start of Prohibition.

1923 focuses on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade,” reads the synopsis.

The upcoming Yellowstone prequel is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Executive producers are Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and Ben Richardson.

The newest spin-off is expected to debut on Paramount+ this December.

The original series is created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. It stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and more. It is currently in production for its upcoming fifth season, which will premiere this November.
