A tough season has come to an end for the Portland Trail Blazers. The team finished 13th in the Western Conference and missed the play-in tournament.
Before the trade deadline Portland parted ways with one of its stars CJ McCollum who was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans, freeing up salary space.
Despite a disappointing year, superstar Damian Lillard was optimistic as he addressed the Portland crowd before the final game of the season.
“I just need y’all to know one thing: this would not continue. Next year we’re gonna come back better than we’ve been so let’s make some noise for the team right now,” Lillard said. “Next year we’re going to turn it up.”
