Damian Lillard has spent his entire NBA career – 10 season so far – with the Trail Blazers even though other teams wanted him and despite Portland’s struggles.
When the team traded CJ McCollum to the Pelicans along with other players this past season, there were rumors that Dame will leave the team as well. That didn’t happen as the 31-year-old point guard remained loyal to the team that drafted him ten years ago.
Loyalty is something that the NBA is missing, he says. “Something that’s missing in our league, the passion, the pride, not just for the name on the back but the name on the front,” Lillard said, per Chris Mannix.
