Bowen Turner: White Man Receives 5 Year Probation After Being Accused Of Raping Three Women In South Carolina

Bowen Turner was accused of raping three women in three different counties in South Carolina between 2018-2019. He recently went to court due to his June 2019 arrest on the charge of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault.

Judge Markley Dennis gave Turner a slap on the wrist with a 5 year probation sentence. It has been reported he won’t have to register as a sex offender if he doesn’t get arrested over sexual conduct or assault charges.

Before being sentenced to 5 years probation. Turner had two other sexual assault cases. One case from April 2018 in Calhoun County is no longer pending. The other case of sexual assault in Bamberg County will likely be dismissed because the alleged victim, Dallas Stoller passed away unexpectedly last year.

Prosecutors claim they cannot try the case because Turner has a right to confront his accuser. Victims advocates contend there is more than enough evidence to move forward with charges – including photographs showing injuries Stoller sustained at Turner’s hands.
